So, the last time I updated this blog I admitted my big “failure”- that I wasn’t going to be able to make the “most important” goal on my 20’s bucket list happen: I had canceled my trip to Macchu Picchu.
You know that saying that everything happens for a reason?
Well…I wrote that post on July 29th, 2016. LATER THAT SAME DAY I got a call from a major TV Network casting executive that they wanted me to come in for a final-round callback for what could potentially be the biggest break in my career yet. And two days after that- I BOOKED THE JOB.
If I had pushed too hard and forced Macchu Picchu, I would not have been able to take part in this unbelievable blessing of a job because THE DATES CONFLICT ALMOST EXACTLY. Macchu Picchu may have been my goal for this year, but steady work in Television has been my goal since I was 12. It goes to show that sometimes there IS a bigger picture, a higher plan, what have you. And now, on top of these blessings, I can let go of the guilt surrounding not being able to afford to go to Peru and start planning for the trip I really wanted to take in the first place which was a true vacation (maybe with a someday-romantic-partner or a best friend?).
God really does answer prayers in mysterious ways.
So I will count my blessings and amend the 20’s Bucket List, and get back to planning these last few months of 20’s-hood and focusing on the biggest-of-the-bigger-pictures which is to live my best life full of purpose and love.
